Charles Ali, was signed the day before Thanksgiving, 11/26, to the Baltimore Ravens.
Ali, who had a touchdown in the last game of the year for the Sents, brought his size and toughness to the table, being 6-2 and 255 pounds. Ali is a great pass blocking fullback.
Ali got the ball seven times throughout the 2009 inaugural season for the Sents, running for seventeen yards. He also caught one out of the backfield for a five yard gain.
Ali, alone on Thanksgiving, practiced with the team Friday, and was set to play for Sunday nights' game. He did not see any action, after just joining a new system. Ali was signed by the Ravens after roster spots opened up when a back up corner and running back were placed on injured reserve.
Charles previously played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns in 2008, playing 15 games and having 4 rec for 13 yards.
The Sentinels will miss Ali next season, and we wish him luck in his future in the NFL.
