Prodigious Piotr (new column)

On October 29th, the New York Sentinels lost 20-13 to the California Redwoods. Contributing 7 of their 13 points was place-kicker Piotr Czech. Czech went 2 for 2 in field goal attempts, one from 36 yards out and the other from 45. Both came in the 2nd quarter, one of them ending the half (45). Piotr also had an extra point on the night capping off a 33 yard touchdown drive towards the end of the 3rd quarter. Along with great power and accuracy, Czech shows great composure on the field. He successfully kicked his first half-ending 45 yard field goal after California tried freezing him and called a time out right before his first attempt. Czech has had a great season so far and it looks like the Sentinels will be able to count on him during clutch situations later on in the year.
